Edward Alleyn Club

EATC is part of the Edward Alleyn Club which was originally set up for the Alumni of Alleyn’s School. Despite being known as ‘Alleyn’s Old Boys Club’ for over 70 years, the club reverted to its former name on the inclusion of ‘Old Girls’ into the Club in 1977. The Club includes 4 independently-run sports sections which are open to public membership - hockey, football, cricket and tennis.

Tennis at Edward Alleyn

The tennis section has an active membership of just over 100, of which over 80% are families. We have three all-weather hard tennis courts all with floodlights which have been recently installed. The club concentrates on social and fun tennis events as much as the more formal regular coaching sessions and league matches. The atmosphere is friendly and we welcome players of all standards.

The Clubhouse

The Edward Alleyn Clubhouse is available to all sections of the club and includes a relaxing bar area with projector style wide screen TV including Sky, snooker table and two balcony viewing areas overlooking the tennis and football/cricket pitches respectively. The clubhouse is also available for private bookings.
